Shields

Shields to fight the health crisis. With my friends Aleš Boem and Jan Kříž we decided to address the lack of medical aids in the current health crisis. We focused on the design of the protective shield. One classic (full face) shield and one shortened type, which is compatible with a respirator with external filters disabling the use of classic shield. The shield is made from a printed full frame holding thin light foil curved in continual shape without distortion. Therefore the shield is lightweight, suitable for long-term use and without any optical deformations.

Shields are designed for MJF and SLS 3D printing technology and provided them as an open source data link. We would like the open source data to reach as many people as possible and help healthcare professionals and people who really need them the most at the moment. Open source links: short shield, long shield.
